Rec. League Registration Form

We are planning for a recreational league sign up and IGHL Fall organizational meeting for August 15, 2010, at the High School.  This is tentative right now but assuming everything comes together we will be at the High School gym from 1-3PM for IGHL organization and recreational league sign up.

New this year will be our participation in the IGHL Fall league while still maintaining our internal recreational league.  Details will come out for those players and families involved with the IGHL fall league.

Individual High School Summer Schedules

The schedules are complete and ready. Each returning player has been placed on 2 of the 4 summer teams.  We have 4 different team names but each team is made up of a variation of players not exceeding 8 players per team. per team.

If anyone is interested in attending our Youth Summer Basketball Camp, the signup form is available for download.   Dates and cost of camp is available in the form.  Download the form and return in to the High School in Coach Burkman's attention.

Summer League Begins

The summer league starts this Monday and Tuesday. Even though it is Memorial Day Weekend the league will kick off on Monday, May 31, 2010.

The High School league starts Tuesday, June 1, 2010.  Games are at 7PM and 8PM at the Indy Indoor Sports Park on Bluff Road.  All returning HS players should show up for these games if yu are interested in playing this summer.  If you have not filled out the paperwork and paid, you can do that Tuesday too.

Latest News

For the remainder of the school year open gym will only be on Wednesdays after school.  We are having a meeting Monday, May 10, 2010 during T3 in the gym for all basketball players.

The meeting will be to cover the upcoming summer schedule.  We have a variety of games etc... planned and we need to know everyone's availability and potential conflicts with dates.  From that, we will determine the various Rosters for each night's games and hopefully provide everyone a solid summer schedule that they can plan on.

Forms are already available for download by clicking here and they will be available at the meeting on May 10th as well.

NOTE:  Practices cannot begin for high school players until school is out for the year.  If you see practice dates on the calendar before school is out then it is for middle school only.

Spring & Summer Information for Middle Schoolers

Information is now available for middle school kids about the upcoming spring and summer basketball program at Indian Creek.  We encourage all players to participate in as many of these as possible as it is vital to learning the Lady Brave System.  Click here  to download information.

Spring Skills & Drills Session Announced

The Lady Brave Basketball Program will be conducting a spring skills and drills session for kids in grades 3rd thru 8th.  This is a low cost way to improve basketball skills and fundamentals.

This is a 6 week session that will meet weekly for approxiamtely 2 hours.  All youth coaches are encouraged to attend free of charge.  The sessions will be conducted by the High School and Middle School coaches.

2009-2010 Conference Champions

The Lady Braves have secured the Mid-Hoosier Conference Championship with the help of Hauser beating North Decatur last night.  This gave N. Decatur their 2nd conference loss on the season and guarantees the conference championship for the Lady Braves, regardless of Thursday's outcome against South Decatur.

The Lady Braves play South Decatur January 28, 2010, in their last conference game of the year.  The Braves hope to end their conference championship with a win to cap off an undefeated 2009-2010 Conference Season.

The Lady Braves move up from #10 to #7 in this week's Coaches Poll.

As a team, we are not satisfied with this or our 7 and 1 start.  We have many season goals we are still working hard to achieve.  This is just some positive feedback along our way.  See the latest rankings here.

Indy Girls Hoops League Tryout Information

Tryouts for the 4th and 5th grade Indy Girls Hoops teams will be conducted on October 29, 2009, at 7PM at the high school.  This is also a scheduled practiced night for the recreational league.  The practice will go on as planned but at 7PM all kids interested in IGHL should leave the Intermediate School and go to the High School.  The rest of the kids will continue practice until 7:30PM as usual.
